About us

In the form of Company Ltd. and the current organizational structure PHR functions from 1994. Tasks breeding company pursues three main stations situated in Wielkopolska region. Nagradowice situated the same as Tulce – 10 km south of Poznań, in Antoniny near Leszno and in Wiatrowo near Wągrowiec. In Nagradowice and Antoniny breeding has traditions dating back to interwar years. Breeding in Wiatrowo, initiated stayed only in the 60s of past century, under auspices of the outstanding form domestic breeding of lupines and pea by Dr. Wiktor Święcicki.
Breeding Center in Nagradowice we have well and modernly equipped. It allows for entering advanced methods and techniques conditioning farm progress into breeding.
We mainly produce seed on own land, which we have affluence. Only the production of grass seed and to a lesser extent lupine we entrust farmers cooperating with us. We have easy access to benefits for different groups of species, areas of the reproduction, through our seed units in: Szamotuły, Wągrowiec, Kętrzyn, Gryfino.
Our breeding under the species is very diversified. In the past fodder plants dominated-leguminous, papilionaceous and grass. Recently cereal crops got the equal position.
Currently we have in the offer of 69 own varieties, in it: 16 varieties of cereal crops: winter wheat (4 varieties) and ravines (1), winter rye - population (2) and hybrid (2), winter barley (1) and ravines (4); 21 varieties of leguminous plants: broad bean (1), sowing pea (11), lupine-yellow (5), narrow-leafed (2), hairy vetch (2); 5 varieties of legume small-seed: white clover (4), serradella (1); 24 varieties of forage grasses: fescue red (7), fescue grass (3), cocksfoot (5), perennial ryegrass (6), hybrid ryegrass (3).
Some of our numerous varieties deserve the special attention. Of grains, winter wheats: LEGENDA and NARIDANA – suitable for milling and baking and great frost resistance, NADOBNA bread-type variety. Also varieties of the spring barley: GRANAL-very high brewing advantages and NAGRADOWICKI-fodder form, high cropping and immune to illnesses. From leguminous plants we recommend the attention varieties of sowing pea: general-functional – KOMANDOR (narrow-leafed), BOHUN and CYSTERSKI as for consumption types, and fodder – SOKOLIK (narrow-leafed) and WIATO. Please note varieties of the narrow-leafed lupine varieties resistant to cracking and sliding seed pods- SONET (sweet) and KARO (bitter) – fusarium and virus resistand. Yellow lupins: MISTER as very early and DUKAT early type. Of note entrust grass Red fescue-ANITAWA, ANIELKA and fescue meadow-WANDA, GERDA and long - lasting rye grasses - NAKI and MAJA, early type excellent for hay meadows and pasture.
