The set of red fescue seed can be harvested by the following methods:

Cultivation for green matter
Red fescue can be grown in pure stand or as undersown in spring barley.
When grown in pure stand pre-applied mineral fertilizers at a dose of approximately 40 - 50 kg N, 60-90 kg P2O5 and 80-120 kg K2O per ha. In the full use of phosphate fertilizers in quantities of 100-120 kg P2O5 per ha may be sown at once in early spring, while the nitrogen and potassium should be supplied to each set in a dose of 40-60 kg N and 40-50 kg K2O per ha. Sowing red fescue undersown should be increased as the phosphorus-potassium fertilization of spring barley by about 40%.
